Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
Tap anywhere on the screen to flap the bird upward. Between taps, gravity pulls the bird down. Steer it through the gaps between the green pipes as they scroll past. Hitting a pipe, the ground, or the ceiling ends the run. Tap again to restart.
Is there a way to pause?
Not yet — runs are designed to be short enough that a pause isn’t needed. If your phone rings or you switch apps mid-run, the run ends and your best score is preserved.
Where is my best score stored?
Locally, on your device only. It never leaves your phone. See the Privacy Policy for the full rundown.
How do I reset my best score?
Delete and reinstall the app. (A dedicated in-game reset button is on the roadmap.)
I deleted the app — can I recover my score?
Unfortunately no. Best scores are not backed up to iCloud or any server. This is by design — the app makes zero network calls.
Does the game work offline?
Yes. The game has no network permissions and works identically with Wi-Fi and cellular turned off. Airplane mode is fine.
Will there be ads or in-app purchases?
No ads, ever. No subscription, no loot boxes, no paywalls. The app is a one-time purchase and that’s the end of the transaction.
Is my iPad / iPhone supported?
Plume Drift is a universal app for iPhone and iPad running iOS/iPadOS 15 or later.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something genuinely broke on our end, we’re also happy to hear about it by email so we can fix it for the next build.
